He raises his voice, annoyed for realizing that I’m omitting something.
“Please, Adam, I have nothing to say.”
Adam went back to the room and got dressed annoyed, his eyes were full of tears, I wanted him to stay a little longer with me to make me feel a women loved a little longer.
However, even though we are involved, he is a representative of the law in this town, Adam will never forget his damn Sheriff’s duty with me.
He returns to the living room and stares at me in a way that is able to undress me inside.
“You don’t have anything to say or you can’t say, Samantha?”
“What does it matter now? The fact that I don’t want to talk more about anything.”
Adam pulled my by the robe, a hand on my hair, he pulled my face to his and kissed me delicately, brushing his lips on mine and before leaving, pulled me a little more.
“I’ll be back, Sam, and I’m going to find out what’s happening to you, I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
I want to see him again, I need the feeling of having him with me, it’s so good, I had already forgotten how good it’s to be loved by a man that makes you feel safe.
And wanting to prolong the feeling a bit more, before he got into his car, I ran towards him, wrapped my legs around his waist and kissed him deep, nice, soft, purging all my fears through his saliva, covered by his taste. He kisses me so good, I bit his lips, Adam dragged his tongue through my neck to the wound he made and I felt so good.
“Are you coming back, Adam?”
He stuck his hand inside my roube, holding my breast and kisses me again.
“Always, Sam, you’re my little cherry.”
I laughed, little cherry? Where did he get that from?
“Little cherry, Damy?”
“It’s your taste... Your pussy, the taste of your skin, I still feel it in my mouth.”
I felt my face burn of embarrassment and my thighs got wet with the look the threw at me.
I went back to bed, taking advantage of the laziness of the afternoon, I head the sound of the iPhone message, I read it and I tremble with what I see it written.
You think you’re free, bitch?! The game is over, we know where your sanctimonious mother and your whore of a sister live... It’s always good to visit old friends, wait for news.
Your New York friends.
I’ll have to find a way to protect myself and my family. Even though I don’t want it, I’ll have to look for help, I don’t know if I should get Adam into this, but I don’t know anyone else I could trust.
CHAPTER 5
ADAM VAUGH
Another typically calm morning, I wake up hearing Connor arguing with Kayden and I think: “fuck, I’m getting old for this.” I’m already angry because they woke me so early and I come across Hunt trying to hit Kayden with a rolling pin.
“What the fuck is going on? Where are your manners? Aren’t you embarrassed of behaving like two brawler brats.”
Kayden is still a brat, but c’mon! Connie is 28, he’s passed the time of competing testosterone.
Connie gets his underwear from Kay and starts to complain.
“It’s his fau... fault, Damy, this fucking br... br... brat stole my underwear? Can you smell the stin... stinking horses?” and he waves the underwear with the tips of his fingers, he started to stutter, soon not even I will be able to get Connor off Kayden.
Kayden’s look of fake innocence makes me want to join Connie and punch this brat, what a spacious guy!
Kayden pull his long hair back and ties it is a high bun, and like everyday, he’s wrapped around a towel dripping all over the fucking floor that Hunt and I waxed yesterday.
He lowered his face and then raised his gray eye like a wild kitty, needy and harmless.
We all know what a good son of a bitch Kayden is. He is a terror at home, steals Connor’s underwear, gets Hunter’s boots without asking and I still haven’t forgotten about last week when I found my peanut butter jar hidden under his bed.
“I needed a dry pair o underwear, mine were washing, but the machine broke down and then, I thought that Connie wasn’t going to get upset by lending me an old underwear.”
Did I see him smirking? Was that really it, Kay? Kay removes the wet towel and goes to the laundry room shaking his damn naked ass around the house, I need to teach this boy some manners.
“Kay, come back here, Kay.”
He threw the towel in the hamper and put on a beat down pair of jeans without underwear, he must have given up wearing Connie’s after stinking it up with horse smell.
“Kay, you need to stop getting our stuff without asking, you have to help more around the house. Last week Connie was taking to Hunter about moving out, damn it! Is that what you want? Connie to move out and leave us alone here? We are a pack, man! No one is strong alone, specially in our condition, we need to keep each other strong.”
Kayden heard me attentively and even though sometimes he’s inconsequente and impulsive, I saw worry in his eyes, he lowered his head, embarrassed and left without saying anything.
I dressed in a hurry, collecting my gun and wallet from the kitchen counter. Kayden and Conner hugged, patting each other on the back and I had a feeling of accomplishing my duty.
I sat on the stool not wanting to make myself noticed, I didn’t want to spoil the romantic moment between the “girls”.
Kay kissed Connor on the forehead.
“If you move out of the house, the three of us will go after you and we’ll drag you back. Your place with us, Porky Pig, with your brothers.”
“Por... Porky Pig? You call... called you older br... brother Porky P.. Pig? Sh... Show me some respect, before I’ll m... make you ea... eat this boot through your ass.” Kay held is ass, protecting it, but he still wasn’t able to get away from Connie’s heavy hand, he was beaten with a huge dishcloth, I had to hide under the counter.
Hunter entered the kitchen yelling:
“The bacon is burning, FUCK! The fucking bacon is burning.”
Connor ran to the stove, he was still able to save a few strips of bacon. He made pancakes with maple syrup and scramble eggs, his specialty. We sat to have breakfast together, throwing doughnuts at each other just to remember that we are stupid and messy men by nature.
“This is divine, man, who taught you to cook this good of a breakfast?”
There was an embarrassing silence like a live entity. Hunter kept asking Connor who taught him to cook and when I saw that Hunt had gone too far, I got in the middle so he could notice what the fuck he was doing.
“Over, Hunter, can you close your fucking big mouth?”
Connor tried to explain but the words tripped on his mouth.
“I... I lear... learned.”
It’s better to stop with this, we all know how this talk is going to end, Connor having an anxiety attack and recoiling in the house depressed for days.
“It’s o... okay, Damy, I learned with m... my,” Connor cleared his throat so the words could get out all at once, “m... my Jessica.”
Jessica was Connie’s girl, a young talented Chef. They were engaged for a little while, when Jessica died in a fire last year, Connor found out with the autopsy that she was pregnant of twins.
Long story short, a FUCKING SHIT in Connor’s life, that left my brother in a catatonic state for many months.
“I didn’t know, I didn’t...”
I snapped, after all, I know the reasons he doesn’t know anything, he doesn’t have the ability to wipe his own ass alone, if it comes to it back then Hunter might not even remember his own name.
“Of course you didn’t know, obviously, ah! Fuck you, Hunter.”
At first, Hunter didn’t reacted to what I said, actually, he outlined the worst of reactions, he lowered his head without being able to face me, scratching his goatee, I could see his eyes filling with tears.
“You’re right, of course I couldn’t have known, back then I was so high, so drunk I could
barely know I had a family. Drinking like a loser and fucking everyday a different whore. Making myself distant from everyone I loved after that slut Vanessa screwed Calvin. Can you see the cut on my eyebrow and this scar here on my hand? I didn’t get them fighting, only God knows where I was when I got hurt like this, because I don’t remember, man! I don’t need to be reprimanded by you, I’m very good at doing that myself.”
Hunter left the table, leaving us in the middle of breakfast and locked himself in his bedroom.
Great! It was all I needed to start a perfect day, Connor remembering Jessica’s death because of Hunter’s blunder and me fucking everything up, throwing on my younger brother’s face the guilt he wanted to forget.
At the police station, Mrs. Thumberlind waited to make a few more complains, I sincerely am not in the mood to get in the middle of the neighbor fight.
Mrs. Thumberlind and Mrs. Ommam have been neighbors for over 30 years and at least once a week they come to complain at the station for the most ridiculous reasons, from noise excess to the vague feeling of macabre voodoo rituals.
If I wasn’t so angry, I would laugh out loud recalling Mrs. Omman last complain.
“Sheriff Vaugh, I looked through the cracked door, she was chanting some strange music, holding a little black doll with my clothes on it, all covered with shish kebab sticks on it, I even got the little doll as proof of the crime, see, the piece of cloth is my dress, you have to arrest that old witch from hell.”
I went by her and Hector, a cop from the station, and I went straight to my office, I’m really not in the mood to talk to anyone.
Someone knocked on the door and I regretted having yelled, I don’t know who it is, but no one is to blame for my problems.
“Come in, shitty day.”
Gloria stuck her head inside the office, with her red hair standing out at the glass door. I forced a smiled to cover my annoyance.
“Hi, Gloria, come on in.”
She got in and sat down with some difficulty because of her advanced pregnancy.
“Forgive me, Sheriff Vaugh, I got mail for you, but there’s no return address on it.”
It was really weird, I’m not really into this kind of people that likes to hide, even so, I thanked her and then after Gloria left, I opened the correspondence.
There were some newspapers clippings, two Police reports from New York and two photos, that even though the woman was with brown hair, I had no doubt, it was Samantha.
Besides a simple and very easy to read message that said:
“What does she have to hide? Investigate Sheriff Vaugh.”
The newspapers clippings were about a huge robbery that happened in New York, through the investigations, there was suspicion of participation of an employee of the bank in the robbery. For what I could understand, in the prior investigations, nothing was found that could be linked to Samantha.
However, there were some pictures of Sam accompanied of a man, that might be involved in the crime.
I went to Mathews at lunch time and heard from the boss that Samantha was working only at night.
For what I can see today was a busy day, Samantha only got off at two in the morning. I was waiting for her in my truck and I saw her going by, walking home, I took a short cut and waited for her in the alley near Hunter’s bar. I pulled her to the dark alley and she desperately struggled to break loose, in complete panic.
“For the love of God, let me go, don’t do anything to my mother or Janet, I don’t know anything.”
I made her face me and she hugged me crying.
“Thanks God it’s you, I was so afraid, Adam, you almost scared me to death.”
“Who is threatening you? And who is Janet? No more ridiculous excuses, tell me the truth, Samantha.”
She was still scared, Samantha tried to get out of the dark alley, but I brought her back by the waist.
“Let me go, Adam, just let me go.”
“Not until you tell me what’s your involvement with the New York robbery?”
“Adam, I, I didn’t do anything.”
I put Sam against the wall and I pinned her with my hips, her half open legs allowed my body to fit perfectly into hers. Her smooth perfume of fresh flowers invaded my nostrils, brings back an awkward excitement. I can’t keep pushing for answers if everything that comes to me right now is tasting again her mouth and feeling her squeezing me while she cums.
My desire for Sam blinds my senses every day more and more, my critical judgment, I’m not the man I always was: a pragmatic, controlled, rational person.
All I want is to have her, a little more, once again.
I take advantage that she opened her lips to argue and I capture her divine taste. She has the sweet taste of woman, but I also prove her kisses, a juvenile innocence, a girl’s experience, behind it there’s a independent posture, a feminine frailty and sweetness that moves me and seduces me like no other woman even got close to.
She kisses me back and the search in our mouth becomes more urgent, Sam’s hand shyly rests on my chest that goes up and down fast and her thin fingers caress my skin, even through the shirt.
I suck the skin of her neck and the uncovered part of her flesh that shows my bite, my possession.
And everything in that fraction of seconds seems confuse and correct, because it doesn’t matter to me in what kind of shit she’s in, I can’t believe this woman may have hurt anyone.
I need to protect her, I need to take this fear shadow of her eyes.
My fingers escape to the front of her blouse and I free her breasts from the bra, I lower my head and get her hard nipples in my mouth, reddish pink, hot on my mouth.
I suck her breasts and desperately, hungry like a puppy, my cock gets hard by the minute, bringing me discomfort inside my jeans.
She wants me too and the reciprocity, even shy, makes me even hornier. Sam reaches my pants and opens it, clumsy dragging my pants down with my underwear, freeing my throwing cock that just wants to fuck her.
I quickly lift her skirt to her waist and pull her panties to the side letting her tiny and tight pussy free for my pleasure.
She’s mine, all mine, since the day I saw her with her bunny scared eyes, she carries the scar of my possession on her flesh, I’m going to take her and I’ll not let her escape. Not today, today she’ll be mine all night, and tomorrow too... She won’t have another place to go that’s not my arms.
My cock enters her small and hot body taking me to the edge of orgasm. She grabs my shoulders, impatient, and wraps her legs around my hips, I thrust even faster and deeper, faster and deeper, till we cum together, our names echo loud in the silence of the night.
Samantha still hugs me, her pussy convulsing, she’s defenseless in life, defenseless in my arms and I never left behind my pack, I protect what is mine.
CHAPTER 6
ADAM VAUGH
She looks at me disturbed, with no understanding of how we end up in that humid and desert alley.
She lowers her legs from my waist and cleared her blond hair out of her face.
How can she be this pretty? Delicately I get a handkerchief from my pants pocket and clean between her legs, I still want to keep myself warm in this piece of heaven. I’ve received pictures and some information from the New York Bank robbery and I can’t really say a women as sweet as she was the coauthor of a robbery.
Something is wrong or doesn’t fit. I’m still going to find out who is it. However, my instincts tell me I can believe in her, even though she’s hiding somethings.
“Sam, talk to me.”
Samantha suddenly awakes from our moment of surrender and looks at me sacred, adjusting her clothes as she can and hurrying to the leave the alley, I pull her arm and put her against the wall.
She tries to run, I don’t want her to run anymore, not from me and not from the truth, I’m taken by an uncontrollable eagerness and when I notice, I quickly remove the pair of handcuffs I have and lock around her wrist and mine.
&n
bsp; Sam’s eye are wide open and her lips are trembling when she confronts me.
“Adam, are you arresting me?”
“Yes, but it’s not what you’re thinking, stay calm and come with me.”
Sam still thinks about resisting and my heart is broken when I see the way she looks at me...
She’s my pretty little scared bunny and all I want is to protect her, defend her from anyone that wants to harm her, for me to do that, she’ll have to start to speak the truth.
“We’ll go to your house and we’ll talk. This time I don’t want excuses, you’re not running again, Sam.”
She comes with me still hesitating a bit, we get inside the truck and go to her house in silence.
As soon as we enter the living room, I open the cuffs and she throws herself on me, punching my chest while she cries.
“Don’t you dare arrest me ever again, Adam.”
And she punches me while she cries, I hold her frail wrists and she crumbles down.
“Shh, quiet, Sam, it’s all right, I’m here, no one is going to harm you, I’m right here and I’m not going to leave you alone in this.”
Sam blows off steam and I make her comfortable on my chest, trying to bring security to her, the support she needs. We sit on the couch and she looks at the floor, to the door, silence is taking over like a octopus with huge tentacles. She prefers to run away, I don’t think Sam’s used to trusting people, and I’m not either.
I’m the leader of my small pack since we straggler away from our own, we are outcasts in this world. Trying to survive without being uncovered, fearing for our and the others safety, making an inhuman effort to adapt to the so called normality. Sometimes I ask myself what is normal? Since my parents passed away, I don’t trust anyone.
I carry the burden of keeping ourselves in secrecy, that’s why I’m not used to counting with the kindness of human beings, I’ve already got screwed too much to keep my guard down. Sometimes I wanted to be able to believe in people, without reservations.
